Obama ignored his own chastising words to corporate America and took a glamour trip out west to visit Las Vegas and California this week. First stop was Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where Barack Obama brought his “act” to help raise campaign funds for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“You can’t get corporate jets. You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas, or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers’ dime. There has got to be some accountability and some responsibility.”
~Barack Obama from a speech in Indiana, February 2009

Words to live by except if you’re the one making that statement. Once again we are subjected to the condescending liberal philosophy of “do as I say not as I do.”

Next stop California for a performance in front of a star-studded crowd where Obama demonstrated his knack of patting himself on the back. While catering to the Hollywood elite in Los Angeles he proclaimed, “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” You mean there’s more government spending, more spreading the wealth, more worldwide apologies? There’s many of us that have seen enough already.

Obama raised $4 million dollars for the Democratic National Committee. But who’s left holding the bill for this trip? You guessed it, the average, hard-working taxpayer.

As the President departed the wild west and went jet-setting back to Washington one could just hear the YeeeeHaaaaa!

For the past 50 years Fidel Castro has been patiently waiting for a U.S. President and Congress to bend his way.

That time has come. His perseverance has been rewarded.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus traveled to Cuba following Senate lawmakers’ announcement to ease travel restrictions between the U.S. and Cuba. The following Democratic members of Congress that recently visited Cuba included Reps. Barbara Lee(CA), Mel Watt (NC), Emanuel Cleaver (MO), Marcia Fudge (OH), Mike Honda (CA), Bobby Rush (IL) and Laura Richardson (CA) discussed lifting trade and travel restrictions with both Raul and Fidel Castro.

Critics of this delegation voiced concern that revenue generated from easing travel to Cuba would bolster the communist economy. There was also no mention of the human-rights violations of this country during this visit.

Republican Congressmen Chris Smith (NJ) and Frank Wolf (VA) have been denied a visit to Cuba twice where their intent was to talk with political prisoners. Smith said,”The Cuban government routinely denies lawmakers who have criticized its human-rights record any access to the country itself. But for members of Congress who signal they will be docile, it rolls out the red carpet.”

This country still runs on the principle of oppression. Why is it that there were no visits to Cuban dissidents during this Congressional trip? Let’s not forget the number of Cuban political prisoners that remain incarcerated. This is a country where people are literally dying to get away from this place when they set out on the piece of ocean that separates Cuba and the U.S.

This Congressional visit was a major propaganda endorsement of the Castro Brothers regime. They played right into the hands of the Castro dictatorship. Fidel must have thought he died and went to communist nirvana and that the U.S. thumbnail on Cuba is finally starting to lift.

Obama’s Poll Numbers Are Falling to Earth

When people finally realize that the Democratic hope and promise that they voted for is a sham and a scam only then will the faithful masses understand that they have been hoodwinked. The Democrats do not have the people’s best interest on their agenda but have the Democratic Party’s own narcistic interest front and center and the perpetuation of that interest. We are living in a time of desperation. What desperate people need to know is that after decades of supporting the Democratic false promise they are no better off, in some cases worse off, and are right where the Democratic party wants them – chained to the plantation and hopelessly mired in government dependency for their hopeless salvation. They are under the liberal left thumbnail with the promise of new hope with every vote. But keep in mind that We the People vote politicians into office and we can vote them out.

The question remains that if the confidence in government continues to be low why are the same incompetents continually voted back into office?

The answer is no further than the nearest mirror.

The fox is in the hen house disguised as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The liberal left hand is in the cookie jar. The Obama Administration has been given the blank check and is rolling in the dough. We will now feed the government sacred cows from the billions of dollars of pork earmarked in the stimulus bill. You pick the metaphor. Obama’s agenda of extreme liberalism is hell-bent on achieving socialism in the name of democracy.

It’s bad enough that the Obama administration is putting America into exorbitant debt, now we have Joe Biden in charge of it. Obama proclaimed, “nobody messes with Joe.” Are the inmates in charge of the asylum? Yes. Is this the generated crisis that Joe was talking about during the campaign when he said we would be tested? It would appear we are now going to have to “gird our loins” from Joe Biden. Wasn’t it Joe that said Obama was not ready to be President? Yes it was.

Because of Barack’s inexperience and now that Joe is in charge will Barack Obama be cast as Joe Biden’s puppet as George Bush was lampooned as Dick Cheney’s puppet? Doubtful.

At Recovery.gov you can find out how and where your money is being wasted, I mean spent.

I’m about to utter some words that I never thought would pass through my mind, let alone my lips: I agree with James Carville. While images of tear-streaked faces of Democratic delegates basking in the presence of the last remnant of the Kennedy Dynasty was seen on every station from sea to shining sea, Mr. Carville steamed in the nose-bleed section. And for good reason. Arguably one of the greatest liberal strategists of our time, he, unlike Obama-smitten zombies caught in the tractor beam, sees the writing on the wall.
What does Jim know that they don’t? It’s not going to be pathetically canned speeches from Michelle Obama (can’t overstate the pathetic), nor introductions from her third-tier college basketball coach brother, nor even speeches from “the Liberal Lion” to unite the party to beat McCain. It’s going to take direct attacks, real differences, and a strong vice-presidential pick. Oops, too late for that one.
Obama and the Democratic party are in serious trouble. They have seen no bump from the ‘Be the First to Know’ text message stunt, and McCain and Obama are statistically tied after Day One of the Convention. The only way Obama would have won this election was to give Hill-Bill the nod for the two-spot. Put the kids to bed early tonight, with the Clintons set to take the stage Day 2 should make for interesting and awkward viewing. The stadium is not the only thing that is a “Mile High” in Denver. *cough*
