Today the Tennessee Titans looked like a high school football team that lost its way to a rival high school game and ended up at Gillette Stadium playing the Patriots by mistake.

As if a 0-5 season hasn’t been bad enough going into today’s game for the Titans they then had to deal with a good ol’ New England Nor’easter that brought freezing temps and blowing snow. This apparently contributed to their loss to the Patriots resulting in a humiliating defeat of 0-59.

Once again, where was Al Gore?

How could he abandon his home state’s NFL football team when they could have used all the help they could get? Even if that meant a little help from Al’s global warming that should have offered moderate temps and no chance of snow. He could have stood on the Tennessee sideline encouraging the players with stories of the coming warmth or even initiated a “heated” debate over the polar bear population. But Al was nowhere to be found. Does Gore now owe the Tennessee Titans an apology for his climate warming prevarication? After all, this was a winter storm in October!

Al Gore lives by the famous quote, “There’s a sucker born every minute.” He’s made a lot of money duping the faithful environmental crowd with his global warming predictions. The former Vice-President is a regular modern day Nostradamus with his climate changing prophecies.

Could it be that Al was watching the Titans vs. Patriots game from the comfort of his heated home?

It seems those critics that are judging whether or not Rush Limbaugh should own a football team have some misplaced misconceptions. Rush is not an athlete, a politician, nor a racist. He is in fact a man that started with nothing and became very successful by telling it like it is. This alone draws the ire of very many people, especially those of the liberal left persuasion who live in a world of double standards and hypocrisy where Rush holds their feet to the fire.

Some of the first ones to jump into the fray were none other than Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They wasted no time proclaiming their opposition to Rush Limbaugh owning an NFL team. Here are arguably two of the most divisive people in the United States of America today. Yet they receive a free pass from the main stream media. Why is that? You can come to your own conclusions. Reverend Al even had the gall to demand a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell so that he could properly counsel him on the “myriad of reasons” why Limbaugh should not be allowed to buy the Rams.

There are some football players stating they would refuse to play for St.Louis if Rush bought into the team. I don’t believe they would give up their multi-million dollar salaries over principles. If so, show them the door and as they’re leaving advise them to avoid the line of players that are willing to take their place.

If Rush Limbaugh is indeed the divisive racist that many are claiming him to be would he not have lost sponsors and been removed from his EIB (Excellence in Broadcasting) seat long ago in much the same way Imus met his fate? There are many detractors and accusers but no substantive evidence of racist malice only tender feelings of the politically correct where sensitivity reigns and truth hurts.

Commissioner Goodell told reporters, “I’ve said many times before, we’re all held to a high standard here.” Does that also include the players Commissioner? This is not exactly a gathering of acolytes. Maybe Goodell should include everyone in his “high standards” before he turns the NFL into a sanctuary of piety.

Natural disasters, American troops at war, Obama speaking to the International Olympic Committee, unemployment rate rose to 9.8%, but what was the number one current event this morning? David Letterman’s sexual relationships with the hired help. That this seemed to be the only news story upon waking should not come as a surprise because, after all, Letterman is the main stream media’s favorite son.

During his late night monologue he wore and flaunted his infidelity like a badge of honor. His audience, who evidently passed the goof test to be let into the show, sat laughing at his revelations. There must have been a punch line in there somewhere.

This is a completely meaningless story about a completely meaningless man that, except for those directly involved, will have no effect on anyone else’s life. Yet this will probably dominate the headlines this weekend.

What should Letterman do next? He now meets the liberal criteria for public office. Maybe he should run for a Democratic seat in Congress.

This is supposed to be funny? How could this be misconstrued as a joke? Laughter followed this statement which suggests that the Letterman audience is so desperate for humor that just the utterance of unintelligible syllables from his mouth will elicit a response in the form of a laugh?

David Letterman is an original favorite son of the liberal entertainment industry and therefore immune to any repercussions from whatever he might say. But just in case it’s needed here is the list of:

Today, in a show of support, Donald Trump endorsed Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA, and stated that she would be allowed to keep her title. There was questionable controversy over some partially nude photos as well as Miss Prejean’s opposition to same-sex marriage.

At the Miss America Pageant, Carrie Prejean was asked her opinion on same-sex marriage. She stated that her belief was marriage is between one man and one woman. Well blow me down, this sent the kook fringe zealots right into orbit. A little advice – if you’re not ready for an opinionated answer that may put your panties in a knot then don’t ask the question. What followed was a frenzied tizzy that erupted into an unprecedented firestorm of hate and vitriol directed toward this Miss America contestant. She was excoriated by self indulging, spotlight seeking, insecure twits.

Now the liberal left would like you to think that they are the party of compassion and understanding but their deeds and words, once again, indicate otherwise. And make no mistake these loathing hate-mongers that have been attacking Miss Prejean thoroughly support and embrace the Democratic Party. Their message of endorsing same-sex marriage is getting lost in their message of hate. Since when does an innocent, honest opinion based on Biblical belief equate to hate?

It bears repeating, the President of the United States of America shares the same opinion as Miss California USA when it comes to same-sex marriage. Where is the outcry?

Admittedly, nothing arouses this author’s sexual curiosity more than flowing brunette or dark hair coupled with olive tan skin painted on the canvas of woman’s physique. However, last night it was a bodacious blonde that seized my political heart during the Miss USA 2009 pageant. Specifically, Miss California Carrie Prejean. The San Diego native earned the runner-up spot after being edged out by Miss North Carolina for the coveted title and crown.

Did she slip in her evening gown? Nope. No talent for the talent show?
No. Was her body not beach ready for the swimsuit competition? Hell no!
Then, why the 2nd place spot? Because the judges didn’t like her answer on gay marriage!

It seems nothing is sacred in this day and age from the barrage and assault of the left wing liberals trying to interject their agenda in every facet of Americana. The furor began when gay blogger and no talent ‘celebrity’ judge Perez Hilton asked the San Diego Christian College beauty if she believed every state should incorporate Vermont’s gay marriage law. When Miss California gently and graciously said it was against her personal convictions, her fate was sealed. And the outrage began.

I applaud Miss California’s courage for speaking her mind amidst the pressure of giving the politically correct answer to pander to the left-wing machine. Now I will give my opinion.

Gay marriage should NOT be allowed. The term is a misnomer. Marriage, regardless of how it is perceived in society, how high the divorce and adultery rate is, or how many Larry King has had, is between a MAN and a WOMAN. That is it. Simple, case closed.

Proponents of gay marriage call it “progressive.” That is the watchword of the liberal agenda these days. Progressive. Gay marriage is NOT progressive. To progress, their needs to be growth. Marriage is designed for (here we go again) one man and woman to perpetuate the human race so it can continue to grow in the midst of a nuclear family. Yes, some families are dysfunctional even within the nuclear family. But it still does not detract from the fact marriage is, and always will be morally, between a man and a woman.

Could there be anything less significant to the average American than the verbal exchange between Jim Cramer and Jon Stewart this past week? If you haven’t heard the details you’re better off. To the majority of Americans this squabble had no more meaning than two old maids bickering over a quilting bee. On the other hand the news media was left panting and in a tizzy. Days later every major news venue is still talking about it and showing the video clip. Is there no other newsworthy events occurring in the world that could take the place of this meaningless dribble?

Now why is this incident being mentioned here? To highlight the fact that once again the news media is attempting to create significance out of insignificance. It’s not enough to report the news, the mainstream news media must distort trivial banter into a major news item to be editorialized and rhetorically dissected ad nauseam.

What will be the next newsworthy story on the MSM agenda? Maybe Larry the Cable Guy gets his feelings hurt at his upcoming roast.

Bill O’Reilly is under fire for comparing liberal White House correspondent Helen Thomas to the “wicked witch of the east” for mocking the way she asked the President, “Do you think the Taliban’s hiding in Pakistan?” Is there an American that doesn’t know the answer to this question? Maybe it’s time for Ms. Thomas to take an early retirement, after all she is 88.

One of Bill’s guests on The Factor was Courtney Martin of the Women’s Media Center, a group that was highly critical of his Helen Thomas comments. While Ms. Martin was vehemently incensed by O’Reilly’s comments she had little defense when questioned why her group did not support Sarah Palin while she was pummelled last Fall during the Presidential campaign.

Governor Palin was unmercifully lambasted, skewered, grilled, barbecued, then raked over the coals by the main stream media and liberal left. O’Reilly accused the Women’s Media Center of doing nothing to counter this attack and stated, “We have googled you.”

Is there a double standard here? That’s a resounding YES! Women’s Media Center is a group of left-wing loons with an agenda of promoting and defending everything liberal. Bill O’Reilly was correct in questioning this double standard. It was a “gotcha” moment.

This is what the left is so good at – hanging themselves with their own rhetorical rope.

In his latest bout of mouth diarrhea, embattled Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich revealed to ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “The View” Monday that he considered appointing talk show host Oprah Winfrey to President Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat.

The comments came just one day before Blago is set to stand in his Senate impeachment trial, further adding to the governor’s list of quirky antics. He claimed Winfrey would have been “someone who would help Barack Obama in a significant way become president.” ‘Lady O’ was quick to dismiss the notion saying she believed she “would be a good senator too,” however “she’s not interested.”

While this may be true, this revelation may bolster allegations made by prosecutors that Blagojevich was trying to sell the seat to the highest bidder. And what better choice? The Queen of Talk is said to be worth “billions” with her hit TV show, book club, and related HARPO production gigs — another sign elections and nominations becoming more of a popularity contest rather than the best person for the job.

If Vice President Joe Biden can be considered the “King of Gaffs,” then his wife is well suited as his queen. The couple appeared on a special Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday honoring the inauguration of President Barack Obama in Washington, DC. During the interview Jill Biden inadvertently slipped by telling the audience her husband was offered the job of either U.S. Vice President or Secretary of State. The remark was met by a beet-faced Joe who quickly “shushed” his mate and dismissed the notion. Mrs. Biden added more foot-to-mouth by emphasizing her statement with a “OK, he did!”

Obama-Biden handlers were busy that evening backpedaling the tongue slip on various news outlets. One has to wonder, “How do those seconds taste, Madame Secretary?”
