A blast of global warming marched across the United States and culminated in a finale along the eastern seaboard as a blizzard extending up through the coastal New England states. The storm produced snowfall amounts and frigid temperatures below the Mason-Dixon line that have rarely if ever been seen before.

During this past week blizzards closed airports in London and Franfurt. Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris also canceled many flights. Two weeks ago heavy snow collapsed the roof of the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Once again we are in the throes of climate change. Summer heat went to autumn cooling then to winter snow and cold. That pesky cyclic global climate change is definitely upon us.

Where is the global warming outcry? Where is Al Gore? One has to assume it is rather difficult to drum up a receptive global warming audience when not capitalizing on a hot July heat wave. The audacity of Mother Nature.

Today I spent atoning for my carbon footprint sins by exerting some physical labor clearing a foot and one-half deep snow pack from the driveway. Does it count if I used a snowblower instead of a shovel?

Just in the nick of time. Last week it was snowing on top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire.

The Independence Day weekend was a prelude to the coming heat. This week ushers in a heat wave along the east coast up into New England. There are many areas along the eastern seaboard where triple digit temperatures are predicted for this week.

High heat accompanied with high humidity has prompted the National weather service to issue heat advisories and excessive heat warnings through Wednesday of this week for a number of east coast cities.

It would appear that Al Gore’s global warming prophecy has arrived.

Along with inventing the internet Al Gore seems to have invented something else – Summer!

It has now been almost two months and the oil still gushes from the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. Other than a desire to step on necks and looking for some ass to kick the Obama administration seems stymied as to which course of action to take with this current crisis.

Where is the outcry? Why is there no Hollywood outrage? The silence of the celebrity elite is deafening. What you have here is a clash of dilemmas. On the one hand you have an environmentalist’s nightmare while on the other you have this enormous love for Obama. What is a superstar to do? Where are the celebrities shampooing the oil off of pelicans?

While there has been some mediocre help it remains paltry compared to the Hurricane Katrina and Haiti earthquake relief effort. No international star-studded telethons to mention for this catastrophe.

There is, of course, the occassional blame George Bush for this oil spill mantra as if he donned scuba gear, swam down and pulled out the oil pipe himself. Had he still been in office there is no doubt there would be an endless outpouring of venomous rage from the liberal left calling for an immediate impeachment.

The Barack Obama administration brought the following philosophy to the White House, “You don’t ever want a crisis to go to waste; it’s an opportunity to do important things that you would otherwise avoid.” Must be that the current Hollywood mindset is if you don’t talk about the oil leak and its escalating disaster it will eventually just go away without leaving a stain on their beloved leader.

Al Gore emerged from his storm shelter and in a communique to his Gorettes proclaimed the latest batch of wet weather in the Northeast was due to, that’s right, you guessed it, the dreaded global warming.

If there’s a drought – it’s global warming. When there’s a hurricane – it’s global warming. If there are heavy snows or even blizzards – it’s somehow global warming. And amazingly, the latest round of rainy and windy weather in the Northeast, well that’s consistent with this phenomenon as well, so says former Vice President Al Gore.

Gore, the self-anointed climate change alarmist-in-chief, told supporters on a March 15 conference call that severe weather in certain regions of the country could be attributed to carbon in the atmosphere – including the recent rash of rainy weather.
~Jeff Poor, Business and Media Institute

Does this mean that from here on out every storm, hurricaine, tornado, cold wave, heat wave, stretch of warm sunshine, and future snow storms will be directly attributable to gobal warming? It would appear so. Gore will probably raise the alarm after every batch of bad weather, and good weather, in order to stoke the proverbial fire of his followers.

Can we look forward to Al Gore hosting a global warming seminar in the Mojave Desert this summer?

Just when things were cooling off Al Gore emerges to heat things back up with a resurrection of his global warming postulation. Yes, the same Nobel Peace prize winning Al Gore and star of the Academy Award winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”.

Evidently Gore felt an urge to step out from behind the snowbanks and defend his scientific stance against the hordes of disbelievers. His latest defense appeared as an op-ed in the New York Times. Its title was “We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change.” Unfortunately it appears that we can’t wish away Al Gore.

After several months of snow and cold Gore must have heard the cries of his faithful followers coaxing him to say something, anything in the face of overwhelming skeptics in a sea of ridicule. So he obliged his AGW disciples with an op-ed rant.

We would no longer have to worry that our grandchildren would one day look back on us as a criminal generation that had selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

Rest assured Al that I will not be worrying, but then I don’t live in a mansion or jet-set around the world spreading fear and speculation while leaving a large carbon footprint.

The heavy snowfalls this month have been used as fodder for ridicule by those who argue that global warming is a myth, yet scientists have long pointed out that warmer global temperatures have been increasing the rate of evaporation from the oceans, putting significantly more moisture into the atmosphere — thus causing heavier downfalls of both rain and snow in particular regions, including the Northeastern United States.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

Wouldn’t warmer temperatures have this increased precipitation falling as rain and not snow? In fact every state in the continental U.S. has received siginificant snow this winter including the Deep South.

Because the world still relies on leadership from the United States, the failure by the Senate to pass legislation intended to cap American emissions before the Copenhagen meeting guaranteed that the outcome would fall far short of even the minimum needed to build momentum toward a meaningful solution.

The pathway to success is still open, though it tracks the outer boundary of what we are capable of doing. It begins with a choice by the United States to pass a law establishing a cost for global warming pollution. The House of Representatives has already passed legislation, with some Republican support, to take the first halting steps for pricing greenhouse gas emissions.

I hope that it will place a true cap on carbon emissions and stimulate the rapid development of low-carbon sources of energy.
~Gore op-ed excerpt

There you have the crux of the op-ed message. This is a call to arms for the hoodwinked masses to push for cap and trade legislation.

Al Gore is in crisis mode and attempting to salvage his global warming, climate changing empire. There is money to be made from this present day “gold rush” and prospector Al is going to be first in line to stake his claim on the green technology Mother Lode. That is “an inconvenient truth”.

It bears repeating. Where is Al Gore and his global warming? Your nation’s capitol needs you. While Washington gets pounded with snowstorm after snowstorm Al and his global warming schtick are once again missing in action. Maybe he’s holed up in a snow cave planning his next GW moment.

Would it be a good time for Al Gore to host a global warming seminar in Washington, DC? I think not. Right about now if Al were to raise his global warming scam in Washington he would be snowballed out of town.

Maybe it will keep snowing in Washington until Al Gore admits he is wrong and has been perpetrating a global warming hoax on the world. After all, who is this Al Gore anyway? Well, he’s someone who has made a lot of money off this flimflam and is reportedly positioning himself to make a lot more.

I would predict that Al Gore’s next global warming summit will be held during a heat wave in July. It would add a realistic touch and help to bring more converts onto the GW train.

As the world struggles with global warming the U.S. is held in an icy grip.

– Florida is in a fever pitch trying to save their crops from freezing
– In the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Minnesota wind chills will dip to -20s, -30s, and -40s
– Cold air will bring snow to Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee
– In the Northeast temps are expected to be 20 degrees below average by Saturday
– Montana, Wyoming and Colorado will have high temps in the 0s and 10s with wind chills way below zero

Let’s not forget the United Kingdom. With more than a foot of snow Britian is digging out from the coldest winter in a century.

Icy, cold weather is also hitting China. Energy demands are straining coal supplies as unusual cold brings snow and sleet across large areas of the country.

It’s getting difficult for global warming gloom and doomers to raise a bead of sweat in all this frigid weather.

Turn the thermostat up Al Gore.

Which is it, global warming or climate change? We need Al Gore to provide further clarification on these phenomena. Why is it that we only hear about global warming during a heat wave in July? As we go into December with cold, snow and blustery winds it’s suddenly climate change. Has Al Gore invented the concept of climate change just as he claims to have invented the internet?

Let’s review. During the summer it gets hot and throughout the winter months it is cold. I’d have to call that climate change. There are some motorists that were stranded on the New York State Thruway early Friday morning snowbound in their vehicles. They must have been hoping for some of Al Gore’s global warming while awaiting rescue. Where’s Al when you need him?

Tomorrow I’m off to shred some climate change with my snowboard on my favorite mountain. I don’t want to see or hear about any global warming while I’m doing it.

Just when you thought it was safe to cut into that juicy steak the animal flatulence scare rears its ugly head again – emphasis on rears.

“Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world’s resources. A vegetarian diet is better.”
~Lord Stern of Brentford

We now have a British economist, Lord Stern of Brentford a former chief economist of the World Bank, claiming cows and pigs are responsible for producing methane from their flatulence that is a significant source of greenhouse gas that is contributing to global warming. That’s all we need, a British version of Al Gore. Will there be a sequel to Gore’s movie, “An Inconvenient Truth?” How about, “An Inconvenient Odor.” And that odor seems to be emanating from the BS that’s piling up from those with warped theories of a climatic doomsday.

Where do these people of supposedly higher intelligence gin up these outrageous claims without scientific proof? Could it be a case of mad cow disease?

How about the human factor. If we decrease our meat and increase our vegetable intake will we not annihilate ourselves through self-flatulence?

To this I say, “Save the planet and humankind – fire up the grill and eat more meat.”

In the previous post the question was asked – where is Al Gore? Now we know. He was in seclusion after a Friday night Q&A in Madison, Wisconsin where he got into a verbal tussle with Phelim McAleer, the Irish journalist and documentary maker. McAleer wanted Gore’s response to a court case decision regarding the showing of his film “An Inconvenient Truth” to school children in Britian. The topic then turned to whether or not the polar bear population was decreasing. At this point Mr. McAleer’s microphone was turned off, certainly wouldn’t want the truth to get out about that.

The former Vice-President’s erroneous propaganda is catching up with him. He is finding it more and more difficult to defend his hypothesis of Earth-ending, global warming, doomsday predictions based on quasi-science data.

Gore has all the charm of a snake oil peddler. He needs to work on his next strategy of hoodwinking his faithful following. This money-making ruse disguised as the environmental apocalypse is wearing thin.

Al Gore knows that he has the most to lose when people stop buying into his contrived climate cataclysm theory.
