Any American citizen can contact their Senators and members of Congress at any time. A few mouse clicks and your voice is being heard.

United States Senate

House of Representatives

When enough people contact their Washington politicians the message is loud and clear. In the case of the vote on health care the message from the citizen majority was ignored by the political majority. If your elected official is not supporting your view let them know you will be supporting their opposition in the next election.

As if Obama health care is not unpopular enough the country now faces the prospect of Attorney General Eric Holder investigating the CIA. Will this be a diversionary ruse to take the heat off of the health care bill?

This is your first interview since Attorney General Holder named a prosecutor to investigate possible CIA abuses of terror detainees.

What do you think of that decision?
~Chris Wallace, “Fox News Sunday”

I think it’s a terrible decision. President Obama made the announcement some weeks ago that this would not happen, that his administration would not go back and look at or try to prosecute CIA personnel. And the effort now is based upon the inspector general’s report that was sent to the Justice Department five years ago, was completely reviewed by the Justice Department in years past.

They made decisions about whether or not there was any prosecutable offense there. They found one. It did not involve CIA personnel, it involved contract personnel. That individual was sentenced and is doing time. The matter’s been dealt with the way you would expect it to be dealt with by professionals.

Now we’ve got a political appointee coming back, and supposedly without the approval of the president, going to do a complete review, or another complete investigation, possible prosecution of CIA personnel. We could talk the whole program about the negative consequences of that, about the terrible precedent it sets, to have agents involved, CIA personnel involved, in a difficult program that’s approved by the Justice Department, approved by the National Security Council, and the Bush administration, and then when a new administration comes in, it becomes political.

They may find themselves dragged up before a grand jury, have to hire attorneys on their own because the Justice Department won’t provide them with counsel.

It’s a terrible, terrible precedent.
~Former Vice-President Dick Cheney

There is no doubt that this is a purely political move on the part of Democrats and has absolutely nothing to do with justice. Liberals just cannot let go of their hatred of George Bush. They are bound and determined to dredge up the past in order to try and prosecute the past administration for allegedly allowing enhanced interrogations. With a bevy of Democratic debt-producing bills facing the country Americans will not tolerate this distraction.

As pointed out by Cheney we are once again faced with interagency conflicts with the formation of a new unit known as the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group (HIG). It’s unclear who has control of this unit. Where is the interagency cooperation? This is precisely the problem that has gotten the country into trouble in the past. The FBI, CIA, and Justice Department not sharing information that would be mutually beneficial to all agencies with none claiming responsibility.

Does Obama actually think it was some quirk or stroke of luck or that the enemies of America just gave up and decided not to attack us again out of the kindness of their heart during the years after the 9/11 attacks? There can be no denying the fact that whatever the Bush administration did or allowed in order to protect America, it unequivocally worked. This continues to be a thorn in the side of the liberal left.

The President announced today a new initiative for national emission limits and mileage requirements for cars and trucks. This announcement marks the long goodbye for America’s muscle cars with none other than the muscle man himself, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, attending the ceremony at the White House.

The muscle car has a storied past and is as American as apple pie. What high school didn’t have the local (unofficial) quarter-mile dragstrip for teenage boys testing their level of manhood with their macho machines? It was all about cool guys and hot babes with “souped up” muscle cars. This was the era before emissions control and computer monitored engines.

Muscle cars have been immortalized in movies and TV. Who can forget Steve McQueen racing up and down the streets of San Francisco in the movie “Bullitt”? Or how about Daisy Duke leaning against the General Lee in “The Dukes of Hazzard”. Hollywood will soon no longer be able to produce a muscle car movie taking place in present-day America without it being fiction.

What will be the latest “hot” ride in 2016 when cars and trucks are required to average 35.5 miles per gallon? Will the testosterone driven muscle car be replaced by the wimpy, dainty, effeminate Smart Car? It’s hard to be “cool” riding in the equivalent of a motorized golf cart.

The recent demise of Pontiac and today’s White House announcement are sad events for the American automobile. What we are left with is a lot of hypothetical hyperbole regarding good news for the environment and breaking our dependence on foreign oil. Only time will tell as we ride down the highway toward the emasculation of America.

As if we don’t have enough terrorists around the world wanting to harm innocent Americans now we have Americans themselves being targeted as domestic extremists that pose a threat to the United States. Now who’s doing this? Is it the Taliban? Nope. How about Al Queda? No. Russia – no. China – no. France – no. Give up? It’s our own Department of Homeland Security. Yep, we have a country full of potential terrorists. Seems there is a “maverick” division of the DHS that is running amuck that released a report titled the “Domestic Extremism Lexicon.”

Here’s a sampling: animal rights extremism, antiabortion extremism, black power, Christian Identity, Cuban independence extremism, environmental extremism, green anarchism, Jewish extremism, leftwing extremism, patriot movement, rightwing extremism, and tax resistance movement are just a partial listing.

Read the full report:
U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Domestic Extremism Lexicon

Is there a group that was omitted from this list of extremists? That’s right, there was. A group that should probably have topped the list of domestic extremism, a group that endangers our national security, a group that seeks to abolish our core values and ideals, a group that threatens American Democracy as we know it: it’s that group of people now in control of the United States Government.
