In an interview with ABC News Radio on Monday Secretary Sebelius uttered the following in regards to the Health Care Reform law:

“Unfortunately, there still is a great deal of confusion about what is in [the reform law] and what isn’t. So, we have a lot of reeducation to do.”
~Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius

This is precisely the terminology that I would expect this current administration to use. It somehow seems so appropriate. Isn’t reeducation what they did in Vietnam after the fall of Saigon and communist takeover?

In order to be reeducated on a subject one must first have received an initial education on that particular topic. Let’s not forget what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” The majority of Americans did in fact know what was in it that’s why they objected to it. The fine details are emerging including the mandate that all Americans buy health insurance which is proving to be very unpopular as well as the growing cost and loss of quality medical care.

Polls continue to show there is still overwhelming opposition to health care reform. The Democratic mindset appears to be we passed it, you will accept it, and there is nothing you can do about it.

For those that are still confused or you simply do not understand then you will be reindoctrinated, pardon me, reeducated.

This interview illustrates why the majority of people are outraged by the passing of the health care bill and the entire political process that led to its passage.

Reid continues to ignore his reelection poll numbers. He lives in a state of denial bolstered by the power high from his lofty political position. There’s no doubt that Harry Reid will hear the “loud minority” in November.

In order to keep ourselves educated it’s necessary to read and understand the Health Care Bill that has been thrust upon us and is now the law. Although bulky when printed out, it will fit nicely on a bookshelf among your Stephen King collection of horror stories. This tome is open to any number of interpretations by any number of people. It will be years before the full impact of this bill is felt by all Americans and certainly not in a positive way.

For your reading pleasure or displeasure, here is H.R. 3590 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as well as H.R. 4872 Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

“The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.”
~Rep. John Dingell

A Freudian slip?

The government wants to control you is not a case of paranoia that you were imagining at all, it is the real deal. There is a liberal ulterior motive behind the health care bill afterall.

This statement from a sitting Congressman is down right repugnant. But then there are many people that want their lives to be controlled. They are quite happy to be fed a few dependency bones in return for their vote.

Reality has set in and the statement by John Dingell says it all. Leave it to this old Democratic curmudgeon to tell the truth behind health care reform.

There are now fourteen states that have filed lawsuits to block the health care reform bill. These states include Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota Texas, Utah, Washington, and Virginia.

“The Constitution nowhere authorizes the United States to mandate, either directly or under threat of penalty, that all citizens and legal residents have qualifying health care coverage.”
~from the lawsuit filed in Pensacola, FL

While health care for all is a great concept it fails when it comes to paying for it.

“It’s a question for most of us in the states of the costs to our people and to the rights and the freedoms of the individual citizens in upholding our constitutional duties as attorneys general.”
~Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum

The cost of this health care reform will be passed onto the states that are already burdened by strapped budgets. In other words, increased taxes will be necessary in order to fund and sustain this new health care system. Once again hard-working families will be footing this bill in more ways than one. Businesses that are mandated to provide health care to employees will most certainly pass the cost on to customers or reduce the number of employees to make up for lost revenue. The bottom line, if everyone is not paying for their health care then the money has to come from somewhere else. That somewhere else is the working American.

Let’s not forget about all those faithful union members with their “cadillac” health care plans. They will be paying a tax on this benefit. You might say a double whammy between increased state tax and now a health care tax.

Americans that have neither government or employer provided health insurance will be required to purchase it on their own or be subjected to tax penalties.

So the health care fight begins again and there does not appear to be an amicable end in sight.

America is now within hours of a vote on a major, historical bill that if passed will change the social landscape of this country. The health care reform bill has more to do with the Democratic party pushing a socialized agenda pitted against the will of the American majority than it does with health care.

“We’re now about 24 hours from Armageddon, 24 hours from Members casting a vote on one of the biggest bills they’ll ever vote for in their careers. We are right there.”
~Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio)

While this is obviously not Armageddon this will be a life-changing event for most Americans. It will change health care as we know it and probably not for the better.

Less than one week away from another health care reform deadline. The President has issued an ultimatum, a vote on the health care reform bill by March 18th. Senior Democratic leadership received their marching orders from Obama. But wait a minute, now the deadline has moved again and it’s now March 21st according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The President has postponed his overseas trip. Democrats have been given a few more days to continue with the arm twisting and thumb screw routine on dissenting party members who plan to vote no on the bill. This includes voting yea at the risk of ending political careers when it comes to being re-elected in November.

How about this Pelosi pearl of wisdom.

“Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer, a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance.”
~Nanacy Pelosi interview with Rachel Maddow

What a quaint, utopian idea. Does that mean we could all give up our day jobs and become artists, photographers and writers? No, that’s right, someone has to pay for that health insurance.

So what is stopping the Democrats from voting on and passing health care reform if it is such a great deal for America? They are in fact the majority party. It must be that some Democrats are listening to their constituents.

For those Democrats that are not listening, not paying attention, are being naive or just plain ignorant, once again: THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DO NOT WANT THIS HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL.

Senator Harry Reid continues to display his pompous, arrogance when it comes to ramming through a health care bill that most Americans don’t want. Reid confessed he is willing to use reconciliation in order to pass this bill. Reconcilliation would allow the bill to be passed with 51 votes instead of the 60 needed in order to prevent a filibuster.

“They should stop crying about reconciliation as if it’s never been done before.”
~Senaror Harry Reid admonishing Republicans

Isn’t he really addressing all Americans when he states stop your crying and take your medicine. He just doesn’t get it. The people are in charge of you Harry, not the other way around. It is the majority of the people that do not want this bill passed. What this health care bill comes down to is passing a controversial bill and sticking a condescending political finger in the eye of the people.

The President’s latest incarnation of health care reform puts the expense on the backs of each and every state. It will eventually leave no choice but to have the states raise their taxes in order to support this proposed health care bill.

Read the President’s Proposal.

So much for not raising taxes on middle-class income families.

If health care reform was so universally acceptable and good for America as claimed by the Democrats then why was the bill not passed by now? They did have the majority to easily do this without a filibuster.

Our country does not base its greatness on the size of its welfare state nor the handouts and political favors doled out
from self-righteous politicians. Our greatness is founded on the liberty and freedom of the people to make their own choices and when that is stifled we rise up and take back control. The intoxicating power of political office can quickly be sobered by the power of the vote.

Let’s see if Harry Reid and his multitude of cohorts and cronies are the ones crying when they lose their political seats in November elections.

In another back-room deal this week labor leaders agreed to a compromise with the White House health care plan on taxing employee insurance plans. Non-union workers with expensive health care plans would start paying this tax in 2013. The deal brokered with unions would push that date out to 2018.

Actually, this is another example of Americans not standing up to leadership that purports to represent them. Like lost sheep they continue to be led around by liberal politicians and union thugs. Voters enter the voting booths ignorant and uninformed basing their vote on poll numbers and scare tactics as opposed to facts. Employees join unions after being brow beaten into believing union leadership will be representing the employees’ best interest. In fact, union leadership is looking out for their own best interest. Liberal politics and unions are joined at the hip.

Where is the Obama campaign promise of no tax increases for middle-class income? He must have meant no tax increase during his term in office.

Can we get another shout-out from Congressman Joe Wilson to the POTUS, “You lie!”
