First it was the obvious items of interest that were confiscated when boarding a plane, pocket knives, box cutters, and other assorted sharp, pointy objects. Then came the shoe bomber and we are all required to now take off our shoes for inspection. Liquid items have joined the ranks of items removed before proceeding to the boarding gate. Let’s not forget the underwear bomber that attempted to ignite explosives in his briefs.

As the terrorists become more “ingenious” with their methods of explosive techniques one has to contemplate what will be next. Will there be an IED concealed in the rectum? If so, how do we remedy that, mandatory cavity searches? It gives a whole new meaning to flying the friendly skies? Seems our enemies are always one step ahead of us with uncanny, twisted attempts at disguising their handy work. We then must bend and sway to their whim.

In a politically correct attempt at appeasing the few all must be subjected to intense scrutiny. Shoes off, scanning, groping the young, old, all ethnicities except of course if you are a Muslim woman who wears the hijab, the head and neck covering garment. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has issued a travel notice to Muslim airline passengers, warning them that new regulations from the Transportation Security Administration violate certain religious rules. Women wearing the hajib should be limited to searching the head and shoulders only.

Israel has no problems. Every passenger is interviewed prior to boarding a flight. It must be working, there has not been a breach of security in 8 years. This procedure would be politically incorrect in the United States, therefore we will continue with the scanning and groping.

With today’s available technology airport officials are now able to scan passengers with low dose radiology thus exposing the naked body and revealing any potential contraband as well as the physical attributes of the individual. Refuse the scan and you will be unceremoniously groped. Refuse the grope and your vacation trip ends there without a single shot fired or bomb exploding.

The bottom line: Muslim extremists have already won.

On Christmas Day there was a terrorist attack onboard an airliner with a concealed explosive device in the underwear of a 23-year-old Nigerian. He had been added to a terrorism watch list in November but not to the no-fly list.

When an airliner lifts off a runway all earthly governments, laws and policies are left behind. Airborne passengers are left to their own wits and survival skills when confronted with a degenerate, subhuman lowlife determined to destroy an airliner with everyone onboard.

“This was one individual literally of thousands that fly and thousands of flights every year. And he was stopped before any damage could be done. I think the important thing to recognize here is that once this incident occurred, everything happened that should have.”
~Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano

Just what exactly is that supposed to mean? You have someone on a security watch list whose own family turns him in for suspicious activity, apparently has no luggage and pays cash for a ticket and he is still allowed onboard a plane. Security failed miserably Secretary Napolitano! Yes, Madam Secretary, everything happened that should have. The passengers took security matters into their own hands and subdued this moron without the help from Homeland Security. They should be rewarded for having the discipline not to stomp his face into a piece of pulp.

As terrorists continually conjure up more ingenious ways to smuggle explosives onboard airliners policies will have to adapt. Currently we bend, swerve, and dodge with every new, evil terrorist whim. After the shoe bomber incident passengers had to remove their shoes. Then there were no liquids allowed while boarding. Will we now have to remove our underwear before boarding? How else will they determine the presence of suspicious material?

So let’s ponder a real unnerving thought. What happens when a terrorist smuggles the first AED (anal explosive device) onboard an airliner? Will cavity searches become the norm? If so, chalk up another win for al-Qaeda whose rank and file will be bent over (pun intended) with laughter.

There was a same day response and comment from Barack Obama after the killing of a high profile doctor specializing in late-term abortion.

“I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning.”
~Barack Obama

The following day a man walks into a Conway, Arkansas military recruiting center and shoots and kills one Army recruiter assistant Private William Long and wounds another. Where is the President’s shock and outrage in the murder of an Army recruiter as he carried out his official duties? Did he use up these emotions the day before on Dr. Tiller’s killing and couldn’t even muster up a good case of stunned and perturbed in the death of a soldier?

Was this a homegrown domestic terrorist attack by a Muslim extremist? Possibly. It’s being reported that the suspect “probably had political and religious motives for the attack” and was under surveillance by federal agents since returning to the United States from Yemen.

Where is the liberal left? This story of the murder of a soldier has conveniently disappeared from the front page of mainstream news media while the Dr. Tiller killing remains front and center. The Doctor’s murder is being used by liberals to fuel their outrage and desire in conjuring up a story of domestic terrorism and having it spun around blaming political commentary host Bill O’Reilly? Why no outrage when a Muslim man, upset with the military, specifically targets a military recruiting center and kills a U.S. soldier?

Judging from the White House comments or lack of comments from these two criminal acts what are we to conclude?

It would appear that the death of an abortion doctor performing thousands of life-ending procedures carries more political importance than the death of a soldier assisting with recruiting young Americans to defend freedom and liberty.

With pressure from the ACLU the President stated he wanted to move past a “dark and painful chapter” after authorizing the release of memos that outlined techniques that were used to interrogate suspected terrorists. What about the “dark and painful chapter” of the attacks on our country on September 11, 2001?

Former CIA Director Michael Hayden accused the Obama administration of endangering the country. He said it would give terrorists a guide for what to expect in a CIA interrogation. Furthermore Hayden is concerned it would deter other countries from cooperating with the U.S. because it “can’t keep anything secret.”

The ACLU claimed that anyone who “gave legal blessings to acts of torture” should be prosecuted. Attorney General Eric Holder indicated there would be no prosecution for those intelligence officers that carried out interrogations, as it should be. There is currently a task force reviewing military interrogation techniques that may be used by the CIA. Maybe the ACLU would be pacified if the Obama administration developed other techniques to obtain vital information from enemy forces such as a stern talking to, tickling with a feather, forced nursery rhyme singing or making them eat all their vegetables.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, commenting on the interrogation methods, “The techniques are chilling.” And, “These were specific techniques authorized to be used on real people.” Get a grip Senator and put some perspective on this issue. Beheading real people while they’re still alive is chilling. Flying a plane load of real people into buildings full of real people is chilling. Both of which have happened to real Americans. What audience are you pandering to and whose side are you on Senator?

Regardless of intent, the release of these documents will ultimately give aid and comfort to our enemies and serve no useful homefront benefit such as the safety of Americans. It’s simple, the release of these memos was a victory for the enemy. We are a country still at war. To give the enemy this kind of an edge borders on treason.

Would those that find fault with these former methods of persuassion objected if they had been used to gain information that would have prevented the 9/11 attacks? If so, they need to take a self-imposed introspect of their conscience and soul.
