Voter Base Appeasement

Once again hard-working America has to tolerate the White House lip-service over federal government inaction in controlling the border and illegal immigration. The lawsuit brought by Obama’s lap dog, Attorney General Eric Holder, is a ruse to cover the real issue of Democrats attempting to appease the Latino voter base. Since when has “illegal” become immune to prosecution? When it equates to a vote. It represents failure and irresponsibility at the highest level of government.

If the government had put as much energy into enforcing the federal immigration law as it does in pursuing a lawsuit against the Arizona immigration law there would be no need for Arizona to have taken matters into their own hands.

“My concern is that the federal government is suing the state of Arizona, ironically, over the ability to enforce immigration laws — where if the federal government had been doing its job over the years, we wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place.”
~Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-AZ

The current Democratic administration’s blatant fear of offending people engaged in an illegal activity is extremely disturbing.

“The filing (lawsuit) is nothing more than a massive waste of taxpayer funds. These funds could be better used against the violent Mexican cartels than the people of Arizona.”

“The irony is that President Obama’s Administration has chosen to sue Arizona for helping to enforce federal immigration law and not sue local governments that have adopted patchwork of sanctuary policies that directly violate federal law.”
~Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ)

As Arizona struggles against a state of lawlessness the federal government stands idly by. The unwillingness of enforcing immigration law is a national disgrace, one that the current President can take full responsibilty for.
