The End of a Political Dynasty

In a diatribe heard ’round the world Rep. Patrick Kennedy blasted the main stream news media for giving Eric Massa 24/7 coverage and not enough to the troops and war in Afghanistan.

With continuing large unemployment numbers, a struggling economy, a dismal housing market, health care reform that Nancy Pelosi is asking fellow Democrats to fall on their swords for, and of course the war in Afghanistan, it would appear Democrats are self-imploding and dropping like flies under the strain of majority governing. They are melting down faster than Al Gore’s polar ice cap.

Maybe Kennedy thought he wasn’t getting his proper “15 minutes of fame” so he launched into a maniacal harangue ensuring that he would in fact get some attention. Well, be careful what you hope for. Once again the MSM took its focus off exactly what Kennedy was raving about, Afghanistan, and put the spotlight right back on him.

The Kennedy political dynasty of more than half a century appears to be coming to an inglorious end.
