Common Sense Visits the White House
What’s this? Common sense creeping into the White House? Barack Obama standing up to the ACLU? In a sudden reversal the President has moved to prevent the release of photographs of abused detainees.
There is no arguing that releasing these photos would be detrimental to our troops and country. There’s one nagging question that really needs to be asked. Was this not apparent right from the start? These photographs benefit no one although releasing them would give the ACLU bragging rights and an ego boost as well as projecting an image of keeping a thumbnail on the President. Those Americans that are free thinking and not drinking the liberal kool-aid already know the myriad of consequences that would result from the exposure of these photos.
There are times when incidents of this nature are best kept under wraps for the good of the country and for the good of some people that cannot handle what sometimes needs to be done in order to protect them and our nation’s security.
Maybe common sense needs to move in and stay for a while.
